The top-ranked team in 4A girls’ basketball held off the No. 1 team in 2A. This one was close throughout, and the Cougars used free throws in the final minute to clinch it.

Sophomore Kahla Becken led the Cougars with 33 points and Megan Waytashek had 18. Jordan’s Brittany Chambers finished with 33 and Leah Dietel had 26.
