Heading for hoops in Becker

The epicenter of Minnesota girls’ basketball this weekend is the Becker High School Gym. Three games were played there last night and six more are on the docket today in the sixth annual Breakdown Tipoff Classic.
I’ll be driving to Becker this afternoon for the two marquee games. Centennial (#1-4A) is scheduled to face Jordan (#1-2A) at 4:45 and Lakeville North (#3-4A) and Minneapolis South (#6-4A) have the 6:05 time slot.
I’ll write about those two games for Sunday’s paper, and probably pick up some tidbits that will appear in the paper in the following couple days. If time allows, I’ll post an update on the games after I return home tonight.
