The action has begun, the whistles are blowing and the fans are screaming. If you’ve never been to this event, it’s worth a ticket.

The first time I covered this thing I was as confused as I’ve ever been. With eight mats and the matches rolling through quickly, it’s hard at first to know what’s going on and who will wrestle when where. But after so many years of being here, I can follow the action blindfolded, I think. (But I won’t try it.)

There’s a pretty good crowd right now. I’d say the lower bowl is about 70 percent full as the 3A first round rolls along.
