Jordan Palusky was stymied twice by Mahtomedi goalie Brad Wohlers before scoring moments later on a different sequence to give Cathedral a 1-0 lead and the first goal of the state hockey tournament. The goal came during a 5-on-3 power play. Just as Mahtomedi was about to get a power play of its own, the Zephyrs went back to the box at 12:43. It’s 4-on-4 now, with a one minute Cathedral power play to follow. The Crusaders have looked very sharp, so far, with a man advantage.
