Blue Earth Area jumped to a 9-1 lead and is still very much in this game despite a Jordan comeback. Blue Earth is playing a zone defense that is limiting Jordan’s penetration. Brittany Chambers had just three points before a late three-pointer gave her six for the half. The Jaguars don’t look entirely comfortable right now and would surely love to start strong in the second half to create the breathing room they haven’t had in the first 18 minutes.

Over at Williams Arena, Jim Paulsen reports: Katie Pettit had 14 points for the Lakers, who finished the first half on an 18-6 run. It’s HL-W-W 24, Pipestone 27 at the break.
