Undefeated Caledonia is controlling the inside. That, and a bushel of Braham turnovers, are the difference in a 41-28 lead for Caledonia at the half. Junior forward Aly Meyer has 16 points for the Warriors to lead all scorers.
Over at Williams Arena, colleague Jim Paulsen files this report:
New London-Spicer didn’t get rattled despite falling behind 25-15 to East Grand Forks. The Wildcats’ clawed their way back in with a tough zone defense and tied the game on a three-pointer by Cassie Ziemer in the final minute of the first half. Could be a tough second half for East Grand Forks as their leading scorer, guard Ashley Tingelstad, was helped off the floor with a leg injury late in the half.
