The True Team state track meets will be held this weekend at Stillwater High School. Class 3A will compete Friday and 2A/1A will go Saturday. This event isn’t sponsored by the MSHSL but by the track coach’s association.

Question for the prep blogosphere: How important is True Team track? We debate this question annually here at Star Tribune World Headquarters. The True Team state meet often includes very few of the state’s top track athletes, and the casual fan doesn’t seem to show much interest. In fact, some schools do not even compete in True Team track. And is three classes the best way to go, considering the MSHSL has two classes in this sport?
