Chaska’s Derek Jerde won his third high jump crown, clearing 6-9, and Casey Dehn of Owatonna added the discus title to his shot put win on Friday. Dehn has won both events two years in a row.

Mounds View won the girls’ team title, getting first-place finishes in the 4×200, 4×400. Fergus Falls freshman Haylie Zenner won the 800 for the second year in a row, putting her on pace for five state titles in that event. Eden Prairie’s Cassy Opitz won the 1,600 after taking the 3,200 a year ago.
