The Knights move on to the semifinals. Pitcher David Borchardt threw seven innings, allowing five hits. STMA scored both its runs on quirky plays. Jason Dehmer scored from third when the Eagles tried to make a play on Blake Schirmers at second base. The throw home was high, allowing Dehmer to slide under the tag. STMA added a run when pinch runner Brian LaVallee tagged from second base on a flyout to right filed. An Eden Prairie overthrow at third base allowed LaVallee to score.
