Goodluck at Oregon Mr. Mcneal! I give real Minnesota players like Hageman, Maresh, Garin, etc.... a lot of credit for staying at home. I can't wait until the day that we will run out of our tunnel with the Big Ten championship on the line. However, I can't blame players for leaving and going to bigger time schools. I just love the players who have Minnesota Pride and want to stay at home to help build something big!

Don't know, TriMet. I got here before the third-place game and the place was cleared out. Nobody here seems to know about those games. Hopefully the teams called reports in to the paper and we'll have details in the morning.

Championship game update: It's Henry Sibley 58, Eden Prairie 35 with 4:30 left.

As a Duke fan, these comments are very interesting indeed. It's hard to believe a female player in high school is being offered six figures to play. One injury and the job vanishes into thin air.

I echo the sentiments of those who extol the virtues of the college experience. In the women's game there is nothing that can compete with four years of a shared experience like that. I hope Tayler chooses a school that feels right to her, with a coach she truly connects with. If she comes to Duke, we will welcome her with open arms and cheer for her and the team like crazy for her four years here.

I agree with a lot of posters but the two main questions I have, Is this all about Paul Hill? I don't read about other parents in the paper talking about how good their kid is and for the record she is really good. Next question, why hasn't she signed at a major school? All the top recruits, which she is, have already signed. There are a lot of rumors out there about entrance exam scores and this is why the gophers are back in the race for her. Either way, I hope the gophers look past her and she has a great career as I see her father being a HUGE distraction to a team very near to his home. Look at it now, he already gets his own section in the paper about every 3 months.

Sure do, jeb. After tonight's game I'll shut it down for a few days and spend time with the family and assorted relatives. One of my kids is flying home from Chicago today, but the last report was "still on the ground here at O'Hare, de-iced twice and just sitting here."

Happy Holidays, everybody.

I think Ben can absolutely repeat at state. In wrestling, maybe more than any other sport, getting that first big championship seems to almost always pave the way for more of the same.

John,

I posted last year before the tourney. I was very impressed with Ben Morgan from Forest Lake.

Do you think he can repeat at State?

I believe his father has a pretty impressive wrestling resume.

Thanks

You can write about how the gophers are back on her short list all youn want but there is no way she goes there. mark my words, no way. she is going to see the talent level at other schools and how the gophs aren't even close to that level of play and be gone. she will not be a program changer for the gophers because pam borton can't reel in a big time player like her. she is a spotty recruiter at best who can't get the best players in her own state most years
