The Washington Post’s political blogger, Chris Cillizza, has been one of the most persistent of
the Great Mentioners, placing Gov. Tim Pawlenty on John McCain’s short list of vice-presidential running mates. (Never mind the fact that McCain said Thursday after his plane landed in Minnesota that he really doesn’t have a short list.)
