Is this Troy Bell’s ticket back to the NBA?

We don’t condone violence here, but if the NBA is going to go the hockey route and start having fistacuffs on a semi-regular basis, a RandBall correspondent had a fine suggestion: A team should sign former Holy Angels guard Troy Bell as a Derek Boogaard-esque enforcer. Bell, who last we saw was playing for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NDBL (good seats were still available), is a former first-round NBA pick. More so than that: He has been honing his boxing skills. (Sadly, we know nothing of his nunchuck skills). He’s not the biggest guy in the world, and he’s always struck us as a really nice guy, but we’re guessing teams would think twice about mixing it up if they knew someone with fists of fury was lurking on the bench. Hey, just a thought.
