A not-so-nice rumor about Mr. Ginn
Posted on January 16th, 2007 – 10:07 AMBy Michael Rand
There’s a story circulating that Ted Ginn Sr. told his son not to re-enter last Monday’s BCS title game in order to protect his draft status against further injury. Having been around sports long enough, this sort of parental involvement never surprises us. However, we must note: It has in no way been verified as fact. And furthermore: We’re not sure how bailing on your teammates in the biggest game of your life would enhance your draft status. But then again, we don’t get a lot of things. Like, for instance, why a gallon of milk is more expensive than a gallon of gas. Powerful cow cartels?

Did he not get injured in his touchdown celebration? If so Brad Childress Sucks changes his mind on him and will not draft him cuz of character issues. Now I am going to get a glass of milk.
He was injured, by the looks of the replay, in his td celebration when a teammate fell on him rolling his ankle. That part seems real, so when he eventually did make it back on the field the Buckeyes were behind (score unknown but way behind even at that point if I recall). That makes the rumor possibly true then, but would the guy deliberately sit out the BCS title game ? I don’t think so.
Let me put my glass of milk down for a minute to say potential interference from parents is something to be avoided. Any coach will tell you that. It can destroy a team. If Ginn faked an injury for the reasons stated, drafting him could be a bad move.
Stay classy, Ginn family. That said, it’s not like Ginn would’ve been in to block the FL linemen or cover the FL wide receivers. It was pretty obvious FL was going to win that game.
what was the score when ginn came back from trainer ? I don’t remember it being (quite) a runaway then
I think FL led by 7 or 10. But my point is that they seemed in control for most of the first half (with a nice assist from Jimmy T on the ill-fated 4th down gambit).
If this rumor came from Ginn Sr.’s mouth, time to say shut the **** up donny.
It would take a mighty weird person not to feel that if he returned to the game, he might have helped swing the game around. Maybe he was more hurt than he looked. Maybe his ol’ man did talk to him. Maybe the thought of all that $ lost if he aggravated the injury really did get to him. Who knows, but being an athlete once last century, nothing would have kept me out of the biggest game in his young career (Then again no one was offering me millions in bonus money either)
voltage transformer
Using watts is of no use, since a weight that is exactly reactive dissipates no powers, but there are stationary volts and amps.
