Aaron Gleeman pretty much hates the Ramon Ortiz signing. Aaron tends to be a numbers guy, and he pulls out some good ones, but he also uses a bit of revisionist history when it comes to Johan Santana and Jason Bartlett. The Twins do move slow on their prospects; maybe that’s why the have success when they do get their chance. Also, it wasn’t lack of chances that was holding Michael Cuddyer back before last year, Sr. Gleeman. It was lack of production. Still, he hits on some good points, particularly in the section on the prospect trimmed from the 40-man roster to clear the way for Ortiz. It’s worth a read, even if we don’t believe the move was “Dios Mio” worthy, as Gleeman does.

AOL SportsBlog: Boomer Esiason uses a Joe Buck word to describe Bill Belichick.

Reggie Bush bought a $5 million house in the Hollywood Hills, with a 23-foot high living room ceiling perfect for unnecessary back flips.

The San Jose Mercury News isn’t exactly exactly driving the lead car in the Lane Kiffin parade.

Update: And Deadspin, as usual, is blogging like its hair is on fire. Hey, that’s not our logo!
