All-Star dancer update: Sally speaks!
Posted on January 30th, 2007 – 1:47 PMBy Michael Rand
OK, so the Wolves weren’t exactly right on top of this one in terms of getting the word out, considering RandBall brought you this news six days ago, but we’ll cut them some slack considering they had the whole Dwane Casey getting fired thing going on. In any event, not only h
as Sally been named the T-Wolves’ representative for the all-star dance team, but we now have some additional information. From a press release that fell in our inbox a little while ago:
Sally was one of three dancers nominated by the Wolves, along with Alysia
and Cori. This is Sally’s second year on the dance team, Alysia’s third year
and Cori’s second year.
“It’s an honor to be voted a starter by the fans and I am grateful for this
opportunity,” Sally said. “I’m proud to be a part of the first All-Star Dance Team and look forward to representing Minnesota in Las Vegas.”
Apparently dancers only get to have one name. We think that’s a little sad.

Fitting that on that day you figure out how to post nice, big photos - this comes along ![]()
Can we all just give Sally a standing ovation? I’m just so proud of her.
Hey now. If you let dancers have a last name, suddenly they become real people, and then it becomes creepy that you’re ogling them so strenuously that your eyeballs pop out of your head.
No last names? No worries! It’s like they’re not even human!
Sally can make men ooh and ahh
With dances that are sensual and raw
But without a last name
Can I be held to blame
That I picture her as simply a hoo-ha?
I’ve seen her before, so let me offer up a last name….Sally Perkee. It’s a fit since besides dancing they are all probably schooled in the lost ladylike skills of constantly being perky like airline stewardesses. Not that I’m complaining, but Betty Friedan might have disapproved, but who knows, not having a last name and dancing provocatively in front of strangers might be what Friedan meant by “The Feminine Mystique”. Probably not but for the ripoff price of beer at the games, I don’t mind perty Perkee one bit.
Stensation making an early run for my vote.

Um, standing may be a little difficult on this end, IYKWISAITYD…
[…] >> Timberwolves cheerleader Sally has been chosen to represent Minnesota on the all-star dance team. I don’t devote much time on this website divulging the details of my rampant love life, but I would like to report that I have been in Sally’s bedroom. True story, hand to god. Of course, it’s only because she’s the friend of a younger sister of my roommate’s high school buddy, and I only stepped in her room for a quick second mistakenly thinking it was the bathroom, and I never even turned on the light, and she wasn’t even home at the time…but still. I was there. You were not. […]
