The Red Sox $103 million man, Daisuke Mamatsuap.jpgtsuzaka, addressed his newfound appreciation for American cuisine, among other things, in a made-for-the-media event at his agent’s office yesterday.

“One of the things I was most worried about in coming over here was obviously the food,” he said through an interpreter. “But much to my surprise I found the vegetables taste great and the fish tastes great.”

Why would our fish and vegetables be anything but delicious? Seriously, where was he getting his information? Sadly, there was no follow-up. We also don’t know what he thinks of American footwear fashion or his take on who he thinks is hot or not. We do know he shares a taste in jackets with a lot of 50-year-old women (AP photo). More to come, we’re sure.
