Who wants to know about the greatest idea ever?

Take dictation: Possible members of a letter-writing society. So far, we have two: RandBall and an occasional RandBall commenter who shall remain nameless. We have embarked on a sociological experiment that is both fearless and genius. We are writing letters to companies about products we admire greatly. The tone of these letters, you might say, is a tad over the top. We have both picked 10 subjects (via a very intense e-mail draft) and have one month to complete 10 letters of no more than four paragraphs (about three-quarters of a page of all you long-winded louts out there). We are extremely curious about A) what sort of response we will get from these companies, which probably primarily receiver letters of complaint and B) What kind of swag might accompany their replies. He has completed two letters so far, and we’re not at liberty to discuss topics at this point except to say the only one already finished in the RandBall column was some flowery prose directed at Hasbro, makers of Non-Expnading Recreational Foam (NERF or Nerf) products. But this all has us thinking: If you had to pick targets of your praise, what products/companies would you choose? Who is doing things right out there in the corporate world or the service industry? And are they doing enough to make you want to write a letter of thanks?
Sorry, this is way off topic. But still: What are your thoughts?
