1wild.jpgWild Vice President Bill Robertson passed along this link which, not surprisingly, features video of Pierre McGuire lauding the local hockey club on NBC’s sports web site. Billy Rob can be excused this self-promotion, though, because of one simple reason: Everything McGuire says is true. The Wild is on an unbelievable run — one which might even be going a little overlooked considering Tubbymania and Twins fever — and is poised to be a force in the playoffs. When Marian Gaborik and Pavol Demitra are healthy, this is one of the three best teams in the NHL.

Jeff Van Gundy wants to open the NBA lottery to all 30 teams, so the Timberwolves and Celtics stop tanking games. Actually, he mentioned nobody specifically. The rest, though, is true. Yeah, putting Greg Oden on Dallas or Kevin Durant on Phoenix would cure everything that ails the NBA.

Don’t go living in Ohio, Shawn Kemp.

Even if you don’t care about the whole DirecTV/MLB story, this is worth it for the picture of John Kerry alone.
