We received some rather startling information via e-mail last night:

So I am looking at all the experts picks around the web for the Wild. I just like looking at their inaccurate predictions for some reason.  Anyways, the only place I saw where the Wild was favored was at the TSN network (Canada), but by only 1 person/animal out of 6. They have a monkey make picks and the monkey picked the Wild.

The kind reader even included a link to “The Monkey story.” Sure enough: Maggie is the only one with confidence in the Wild. And she even gets her name first among the six “experts.” We didn’t watch the video of Maggie the Monkey making her picks, primarily because we wanted to imagine it somehow involved flinging feces at a huge dartboard and we didn’t want facts to get in the way of that notion.  But everyone should agree that when it comes to monkeys and Anaheim and playoffs, Maggie is far preferable to the dreaded Angels Rally Monkey.
