The Nintendo Wii is looking more attractive

00000001punchout.jpgSo Rocket e-mailed us all in a lather last night about the Nintendo Wii and how he now has to get one and blah blah blah. And we were on our way out the door, in the midst of a crazy day that would turn into a crazy night, and we didn’t really pay much attention to what he was talking about. Turns out all he was talking about was 1) the revolution. 2) the greatest thing ever. 3) Punch-Out on Wii. 4) All of the above.

Definitely all of the above. Yes, somehow it escaped our attention that the interactive video game makers had released that all-time classic “Punch-Out” earlier this week. It doesn’t bear the Mike Tyson name — rather, it’s the “Mr. Dream” version, which if memory serves is the exact same thing as the original only it replaces Tyson with a guy named Mr. Dream, who does all the same moves but isn’t an ear-biting assaulter.

We’ve not tried the Nintendo Wii that the kids seem to like. When we dust off the PS2 every few weeks or so, it’s usually to play either poker or NHL2K7, but on the 1994 classic mode. We’re a little hopeless that way. But this? This could make us agree with Rocket’s conclusion: “I’m going to have to buy a Nintendo Wii.”
