000000000000000001blame.jpgThere’s nothing we hate more — wait, that’s not true — than when people refuse to be held accountable for their actions. We live in a society of perceived victims in 2007, and it is the No. 1 scourge facing us today — wait, maybe this is worse. Two stories from the world of sports illustrate this larger societal problem: 1) Marvin Lewis claims Cincinnati police are profiling his players. 2) Josh Hancock’s father is suing the bar that served him drinks before his fatal accident (and apparently also those involved with the tow truck he crashed into). Marv: The police aren’t the problem. Your idiot players are the problem. Don’t try to make grown men making bad choices out to be victims. It will just make your fans hate your team even more. He still chose to get into his vehicle. And he chose to drive druink while talking on a cell phone and not wearing a seat belt. It’s terrible what happened. But he sealed his own fate.

Jumping off the soapbox now, we have to say this is a splendid day in the RandBall neighborhood.
