There’s a lot of stuff on the Internets

0000000000000000001stuartscott.JPGFrom Don S.: Stuart Scott isn’t really into sports blogs. He isn’t even really into computers. The iPod confounds him. And other such revelations that really shouldn’t be all that surprising. Boo-ya!

Fasolamatt said this was for the weekend, but it’s far too good for the weekend. The 1977 Cavs’ theme song. And the 1986 Indians’ theme song. “Come on Cavs! Gotta make it happen.” Horns! Drums! Oh, this is the best ever. “Ain’t no way! Never surrender.” Even Mark Madsen could dance to this. … So catch Indian fever … be a believer. We’re dying over here.

JS, reading the Big Lead, points us to this link on Winning the Turnover Battle speculating that Michelle Wie’s wrist injury might not be legit. We’re so done with her.

And finally, the latest installment of RandBites is up for your listening pleasure. Kobe + Cuban = podcast delight.

fear not, I’m still searching the internets for the POLKA fight song that Ted Stepien (aka Too Stupid, the owner so dumb that the next owner extracted extra draft picks as a condition of purchasing the team) replaced “C’mon Cavs” with.

“The Cleveland Cavaliers are great, and they’re number one”… gawd it was awful.

I’m going to suggest a new podcast name: RandAgreeance. Come on, fellas, where’s the argument? The conflict?

Also: for an avowed free-market capitalist, the LQ sure wants to keep guys tied to their teams, and sure doesn’t seem to enjoy the idea of a competitive marketplace for football… :)

We’ll get surly again soon … but you can’t fake an argument. Well, unless you’re into pro wrestling.

Surly, eh? I’d listen to a podcast where you two were enjoying the local brew…

Maybe a spirited debate would follow

Surly, eh? I’d listen to a RandBites where you two were enjoying the local brew…

Maybe that would spur some debates…I know it has when I’ve enjoyed Surly with others.

crap, stupid glitch in the Star Trib blog system…making me look like I belong nowhere near a computer. I’m not good with these things. Let’s just say I hit the wrong button, I’ll leave it at that.

The podcast would increase in listener enjoyment by a factor of how many beverages we consumed. There is no doubt. But it’s just not prudent.

Hey, Surly only looks out for one guy…Surly!

Yes, I’ve been waiting to quote Surly Duff. Don’t judge me.

… but extremely cool.

I’ll be at Angel Stadium on Monday to watch the Twins put a beatdown on the Angels from my company’s suite behind home plate. My parents will be making the trek up to OC from San Diego. It will be our first family Twins game since ‘92. Perhaps I’ll take pictures from the swank seats.

Local Quipster is a pale and sickly imitation of RandBall’s former co-host.

“Indian Fever” was actually from 1980. A great theme song that was also tailored for the team’s TV (WUAB-43) and radio (3WE) homes. I believe in ‘86 they used “My Team” which was a cover of Michael Stanley’s “My Town” or some other song that began with the lyrics “The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, watch the fun, it’s here everyone, baseball with the Tribe…”

Is there any way I can get the mp3 of these two “classic” theme songs? Or does anyone know how I can download them from the links provided?

How much does it cost links on your blog (Blogroll)?
