000000000000000000000000001lunchbridge.jpegWe weren’t quite sure what was compelling us to walk down toward the river to catch a glimpse of the wreckage, but we do know this: we weren’t alone. There were hundreds of people just like us, hands folded or on hips, staring into the distance in disbelief. It was our first look that wasn’t through a camera lens, and while we couldn’t see a whole lot (the Stone Arch Bridge is blocked off, for good reason), we could see more than enough. Our best guesses who so many others were down there: looking for a shared community; following the herd; but most of all, trying to make it real. Seeing is feeling and believing. … On a sporty note, LEN has posted that the Twins are meeting at 2 p.m. to decide what to do about tomorrow’s game. We’re guessing they might postpone, particularly because of traffic snarl concerns. But that’s no more than a guess. Also, if you need a day brightener and haven’t already heard that Randy Moss missed practice with a leg injury, here you go. In addition, Adrian Peterson’s injury is not as serious as feared, apparently.
