Tough times for Owen Wilson

Owen Wilson is obviously not really a sports celebrity, but if enjoying his movies was a sport, it would probably be our third favorite sport behind baseball and football. Therefore, this is some fairly sad news:

“Wedding Crashers” star Owen Wilson reportedly was hospitalized Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, although no official confirmation has been given.
The Santa Monica Police Department released the following statement to TMZ.com: “On Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at 12:10 p.m., officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department at the 900 block of 23rd Street. The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated.” People.com reported that the home is Owen Wilson’s residence.
Wilson’s brother Luke was seen visiting Beverly Hills’ Cedars Sinai hospital Sunday night in a videotape on Entertainment Tonight’s Web site. Sightings of other Wilson family members have been reported by various media outlets.
Several sites have claimed that Owen Wilson attempted suicide, but those reports have yet to be substantiated.
