Weekend links: Jon’s frost advisory
Posted on September 15th, 2007 – 1:31 PMBy Michael Rand

Our best guess is that Jon is currently working himself into frenzy for tonight’s Gophers vs. Florida Atlantic tilt. Hey look, Jon’s just trying to have a good time, OK? At least he had time to throw some links your way. Jon?
It might hit seventy degrees here in the metro today … and if you happened to be out early enough this morning, you had to perform the Autumn in Minnesota Ballet, where you realize you have not yet put the ice scraper in the car, and thus have to do the dance where you try to scrape the frost off your winshield with your fingernails. Ah, Minnesota; you can’t beat it.
A few links, for your electronic/literary pleasure today:
*All of you men out there who are married to wives of childbearing age, read the Sports Gal’s rant and be afraid. Terrified, even. You could be in the line of fire soon, perhaps sooner than you think.
*Los Angeles Times columnist TJ Simers headed out to Nebraska a little early so he could spend some quality time making fun of farmers. On behalf of everyone from a small, rural, farm-based community, I’d like to say to Simers: go [redacted] yourself.
*Before this week, I knew the following about Tim Tebow: 1) He was a quarterback at an SEC university; 2) he’s probably higher on the Hype Meter than any other college football player not named McFadden; 3) He posed for this picture with a rather emphatically shaped female. Based on these three
pieces of knowledge, I inferred a lot of other things about Tebow — all of which are apparently dead wrong. (Hat tip: Deadspin.)
*MJD at The FanHouse thinks that Bill Belichick should have been banned for life. I must say, I agree 2,745% with MJD, but this is partly because I have discovered this week that I actually hate the Patriots as much as I hate the Yankees and Red Sox.
