Considering they have won, what, 82 of their last 83 games, we thought you might want to know a little bit more about the NL representative in the World Series, your Colorado Rockies!

*Their mascot’s name is Dinger (pictured, right, leading the children into oncoming traffic). His corporate rate is $300 for the first hour. Can you say, “I’d like to hire Dinger for $300″ with a straight face? Sounds scandalous!

*The Rockies love God. This USA Today piece from last season has made the rounds, but it bears repeating now. The intro: “No copies of Playboy or Penthouse are in the clubhouse of baseball’s Colorado Rockies. There’s not even a Maxim. The only reading materials are daily newspapers, sports and car magazines and the Bible.” Not sure how that jibes with your beliefs or politics, but it’s interesting to say the least.

*Matt Holliday hit .340 with 36 home runs and 137 RBI this year, and we weren’t even sure if his last name had one L or two. Who are these guys?

*Rocktober: Lame.

*LaTroy Hawkins! Hello Hawk! That would have been his intro music if we were in charge of the Twins back in the day.
