Predictably, the Twins and Blue Jays aren’t in the mix

The wonderfully named Kosuke Fukudome wants to play in the Majors next year; apparently, there are three teams identified as early front-runners for his services: the Padres, Cubs and White Sox. And, of course, none of those are dome teams. Maybe by 2010 he can play here? (Thanks to Stensation for the heads up). In other news (and this has already been on the Star Tribune home page for a while), ESPN has apologized for running a poll that involved a season-ending injury to Kevin Garnett.
The question posted last week asked whether voters would want to see:
• The Steelers beat the Patriots.
• Twins star Johan Santana be traded to a team other than the Red Sox.
• Kevin Garnett blow out his knee.
We understand the spirit of the Boston-bashing, but that was in poor taste. That said, um, which would it be?

In this year’s Super Bowl, right before opening kickoff, Bill Belicheck’s sneer becomes so pronounced he tips backwards into Tom Brady, knocking Belicheck out and spraining Brady’s knee. The Patriots are forced to use Rich Kotite and Matt Cassel or whoever as their head coach and starting QB, and they lose to Minnesota 49-3.
I would be okay with that.
Does ESPN still exist?
On a Garnett side note, he’s pretty much been bashing Taylor and McHale every chance he gets. Which I don’t get, since Taylor and McHale basically hand-delivered him a championship.
The poll should’ve been:
Steeler’s beat Patriots.
Nick Punto traded to Red Sox.
Celtics lose in four to Portland.
Question: Would his name work in a retractable roofed stadium? Can stadiums with retractable roofs be called domes?
Would Kosuke’s name make it past The Star’s everpresent Otto Censor ?
You don’t understand Garnett bashing Taylor and McHale for mishandling every aspect of the franchise since taking over? You’d rather he lie?
And he hasn’t been handed a championship. He might have been handed a championship appearance. Beyond that…
Toonces - you’re right. I was being semi-ironical, to the extent that Garnett was in the past a master of decorum.
You think San Antonio again? Who else in the West?
