According to the New York Times, George Mitchell’s report on steroids in baseball — which he will present at 1 p.m. tomorrow — will name 50 Major Leaguers. ESPN, in what might be the longest non-Bill Simmons related story to ever appear on the site, says the process of the investigation might have been as flawed as baseball’s longstanding policy of ignorance and cheering for home runs. We say it’s going to be an interesting day regardless of how tired everybody is of this whole steroids in sports business. We also say, um, maybe the Astros could have waited a day or two. Just, you know, to be sure.
