An early look at some of the Mitchell report stuff
Posted on December 13th, 2007 – 12:23 PMBy Michael Rand
Just in case you can’t get enough of all Mitchell report, all the time, here is a summary of what has been leaked so far:
*Roger Clemens, Chuck “Hot Dog” Knoblauch and, ahem, Miguel Tejada are on SI.com’s list.
*Deadspin’s completely unsubstantiated rumor report (framed as such by headspinner Will Leitch) has Albert Pujols, Jason Varitek and Kerry Wood, among others, into the mix.
*ESPN is being more cautious than others, but it has Andy Pettitte in its guilty pile.
*Kissing Suzy Kolber might have the best Mitchell report of all (NSFW, if you consider words to be hurtful).

Deadspin has former Twin Bret Boone on the list…That’s not a surprise considering he sucked after he got of the juice.
Jose Offerman makes sense…No wonder he hit that pitcher with a bat last summer.
The over/under on former and current Twins was set at 3 and we have now officially gone over. So those of you that picked the under owe me $100 and those of you that took the ove, Congratulations give yourself a pat on the back.
Rincon
Lawton
Knoblauch
Boone
I understand that Mitchell under pressure to do a thorough investigation is seeking a court order to exhume the Babe if for no reason then to put an asterisk after his name.
This also may be an unsubstantiated rumor since I heard it while waiting in line at Target, though the guy saying it was wearing a Twins hat so he surely must have known his baseball.
ahem, Miguel Tejada
No sources my ass.
jama….Add Offerman to that list.
I hit de ball, I inject de liquid, I catch de ball, and I cash de check.
Mr. Bud is a very, very, good commissioner.
I’d like to say hi to all my young fans who look up to me and my performance enhanced statistics. It is my dream that one day, they too can become wealthy cheaters. Go USA!!!!
The Yankees and Astros look like they were Steroid factories with all their players and ex-players.
I’ll just be happy to know that Delmon Young’s bat tossing was a product of pure rage, not that ‘roid induced crap.
This new information explains Zimmer’s actions. For a long time, I just thought he was a crazy old man.
Miguel, your English became much better in your second comment…
Wait a second…
This is Sammy Sosa, isn’t it? Sammy, this is exactly like the pot calling the kettle black.
The Twins released Tyner because he was juicing. All the evidence you need is in his homerun totals from last year. They were up 100%.
actually, Diddy, the were up an undefined amount since you can’t divide by 0. If they went from 1 to 2, that would be a 100 percent increase. Don’t make me do math.
You could argue they were up 1,000,000%, that looks more damning…
Diddy - Did you go to Mankato State as well?
“Rocket” was on steroids? How would steroids help in writing a fine book suitable for giving during this holiday season?
Fasolamatt: Rocket was writing in Venezuela at the time, he was given a supplement, he didn’t know it was steroids, there was a language barrier.
Steroids are nice…they make you want to fight or f..k . You got a problem with that …
Dave,
Thank you for taking note of me better inglish. Some say it got worser.
Scott Mitchell should be ashamed.
Hmmm…explains why Rondell suddenly became a middle-aged man who played baseball like a middle-aged man (not much and not well) over the past few years. Leave it to the Twins to get the PED users after they stop enhancing their performance.
Best part: A Reusse column is referenced on page 377 of the Mitchell report.
No Luis Castillo? Maybe it’s rubber bands and crazy glue that keep him going after all.
Chad Allen is listed in there.
Isn’t he the old Twins OF that ripped up his knee and went away?
Best part: ESPN was first to report that a Reusse column is referenced on page 377 of the Mitchell report.
Fixed.
Victor: yes.
Does anyone have a link to the actual list of players named?
God
This link (yes, I wrote it, sorry for the self-promotion) lists most of the Twins connections. One of the comments on that post has a list to all of the players named.
A Dennis Brackin article from 1988 is also referenced. The Star Tribune: fighting steroids for 20 years.
If all those crappy players on the list I wonder who is lucky to slide through the system cuz they were smart in their purchases and/or coverups.
SR - remember, the players in the report are (for the most part) guys named in the BALCO investigation, guys named by Kirk Radomski or Brian McNamee, or guys investigated for online purchases by the Albany DA’s office. It’s not a comprehensive list by any means, just guys that were caught up by those investigations.
I like how John Rocker is listed in the report. As if that guy could get any more vilified in the public eye.
I know no one is looking at this thread anymore, but for the record I didn’t attend Mankato State and I never was good at math.
