You can’t base things solely on the numbers. Just because Jefferson’s numbers are on par with All-Star players, it doesn’t mean that he’s that caliber of player. He’s the best player on the worst team in the league, which means he’s going to get the opportunity to rack up stats that he wouldn’t have elsewhere.

Couldn’t you say the same for KG then? His numbers are way down after he went to the Celts does that mean his numbers with the McLovins were also phony.

Everyone knows Al Jefferson’s stats are as phony as a three-dollar bill (just as they knew Tony Campbell’s 23 ppg were bogus with the expansion-era Wolves). Put him on a decent team and he’s a 14-and-8 guy, not 20-and-11.

On a side note, what are the chances Big Al Jefferson makes the All Star team this year? I know he probably won’t but his stats are as good as any Power Forwards in the West.
