Five things we’re thinking about

1. Britney. Will this trashy, unfit mother be OK after her standoff with K-Fed and subsequent ride in an ambulance? Will her actions make it taboo once again for young ladies to go around without their underpants?
2. The Arizona women’s hoops team finished a game last night with just two players remaining on the court. Is it really legal to only have two basketball players on the court? And isn’t it rather amazing that it went double-OT? When someone wondered aloud who the opponent was, the natural office wisecrack over here was “the Timberwolves.” (HT: Deadspin).
3. We’re about to go to a Chinese buffet for lunch that, we’re told, is less than $5.50 and includes a drink. Should we be excited or mortified, and who wants a full report?
4. So, um, who’s going to the Swarm open house tomorrow?
5. No Dakar! The terrorists truly have won.

World Juniors semifinal starting right now. All-American boys vs. Hosers.
3. Excited now, mortified in approximately 2 hours.
By all means please give a full report.
Jon - No one has Canada’s heart…
Gatorade is in the Canadian Junior team…is it in YOU?
Report? Heck, I’ll just take the address.
1. Linking to The Star? Now who will I turn to for journalistic ethics?
2. I didn’t notice it until I moved here, but really weird things happen in AZ. And who names their twins Rhaya and Rheya? Wouldn’t this be like naming them Jeff and Geoff?
3. As a dog owner, you should be mortified.
4. Tonight’s Swarm Pub Crawl sounds more interesting!
5. For a second, I thought you meant “Drakkar”. Brought back memories of the high school boyfriend. Do they still sell that at finer drug stores?

Daughtry vs. Nickelback. SCTV vs. SNL. Eh? vs. Duuuuude. Tim Horton’s vs. Starbucks. Actual Healthcare vs. HMOs. Geddy Lee vs. Les Claypool. IT IS SO ON!
I love Chinese food. Where is it ? There is a buffet (also $5.50) in St. Paul’s Midway not far from Target Hugeland that despite the cheezy neighborhood has more variety than most other Chinese food places I’ve eaten.
And speaking of eating I sure hope Britney doesn’t turn other young women from going w/o the nylon. That would really be a shame with the long awaited summer coming up.
I’m a high school basketball official and have seen a 5 on 4 but 5 on 2! That is pretty funny and they still almost won the game!
I think the rule states that as soon as they have less then 5 an official can call the game if the game is no longer competitive(pretty discretionary) but you can legally play with 1 as long as you have 5 to start the game.
It’s in a strip mall near Minneapolis Patrick Henry High School. Highlights: 1) You eat BEFORE you pay, meaning that if you are really hungry, you can walk in and literally seconds later be waist-deep in sweet-n-sour chicken. 2) As stated earlier, drink is included in the $5.45 price. 3) Good variety. Estimating between 12 and 15 dishes, including some really good chicken skewers. Drawbacks: None. Yet.
not familiar with Evil City. Address on that Chinese Place ?
It’s called Joy Luck. Address is 4201 Webber Parkway. Here’s a link:

How’s the club sandwich?
/yanks tie, flop sweat
How’s the sesame chicken? That’s always the do or die for me on a Chinese buffet. It’s why U Garden will always be my go-to buffet.
I assumed that you were referring to Leo’s Chow Mein on St. Paul’s east side. It’s $5.50 with a drink (the price went up last year). You get your plate, sit down, and people walk around with bowls of food. It’s the best all-you-can-eat ever.
Canada 4, USA 1: We suck at everything. Seriously, didn’t America used to win sometimes at sports? I distinctly remember this from my childhood. And I miss it.
Hoc-key?
We lead most nations in per capita homicides. Is that a sport ?
U Garden is too expensive for what you get. I know the place that P3 is referring to (I think); it’s called Kim Huoy Chor, is in the former Embers building just west of Snelling on University Ave W, and it’s $5.95 for all-you-can-eat buffet and contains a minimum of 20 items. The nice part is that they don’t cook too much of anything but rather cook it often, so the food is fresh even if you’re there at like 2 in the afternoon. An added plus is the frequent visit card, where your 11th meal is free, and you don’t have to do buffet either. You pay AFTER and eat IMMEDIATELY as well, which rocks, and poor college kids like me (or any student) get buffet for $4.95 any time of the day versus the normal $5.95 for lunch or $7.95 for dinner. The owners are super nice too, even if we clean them out on a regular basis.
U if M, that’s it…it’s by OfficeMax I think, so you can buy a new memory stick and eat at the same time. And the food must be good, since the staff has a small eating cafeteria all their own, and workers bring the same food off the buffet line..very good, not greasy and never busy (I’m sounding like a reviewer now, and a “positive” reviewer now Aaaagggh)
