You probably notice all thes posts as they come in all the time but here's the first few entries from the above "Internets:Silky Smooth"...so I want to ask you straight up... is this what you really want in your blog ..honestly ?

Dave MN says:

Commercial Drop Bear is mass produced on farms similar to American chicken factories.

Sorry, but I don’t eat anything but cage-free drop bear.

Stu: She was in town for the weekend, so it was a local burlesque show. But still.

Dave MN says:

January 14th, 2008 at 1:47 pm

Did she leave before or after the amputee strippers wrestled in brown mustard?

I’m guessing it would have looked nothing like this…

And P3 doesn’t like and/or think your writing is creative…

MHS, I wasn't bragging...only responding to Jama asking if I ever wrote about something other than to jam the vikes...so I offered up 2 such pieces, one recent and political, one from the time of Kobe's trial, a sports letter, that could fit on a bright sports blog...so what do the guys around here want ? The exact same kind of stuff so many of them write ? So, how would that benefit this blog or anyone in it, in essence, by spouting those same blurbs over and over ...offering up mindless stuff like [redacted] (why ?) all over the place.

And you, RandB, it's your column. Do you want nothing in it but Stus and Daves and writers of that ilk in here or someone different, someone to stir the pot, someone who can actually write more than 25 words in one sitting without asking where everyone is going out that night ? I wrote a number of pieces for your old column before the Powers that Be pulled the plug, so you saw then and can see now I am no ordinary writer, and am indeed employed as a writer, but if you want only such ordinary writers who largely spend their time backing this solo local team of theirs, let me know. Just remember I was asked to produce the two letters MHS referred to, excellent letters as many of my blog entries have been, so it's like a team getting trounced by a runner on another team and then proceeding to ask the ref (you) to kick the guy out. Freedom of Speech...yeah right. Where does that exist ?

RandBall, put an end to this idiot and his ramblings. For the last year, this blog of your has been a fun stop on the web. The comments and commenters were enjoyable and brought something more to the table than other the inane "First!!" comments seen elsewhere online. After reading the last few items and the ramblings of an obviously unemployed Pablo Paulie Petros, I find myself longing for fewer and fewer posts each day, as it gives him less of an opportunity to share his special talents with us all.

To brag about one's letter ending up on the print version of the Trib's Op/Ed page might be the single saddest thing I have ever read. Find some help PPP. Get offline and find some help.

Jama, here's another letter published quite awhile back about the Kobe Bryant rape trial....this one is about sports. Do you like this one any better ?

To letters,

Unlike the farcical O.J. Simpson who-done-it murder trial, the rape trial of yet another idolized sport superstar, Kobe Bryant, will not be about who did it. We already know who did it, but this trial will be about if this possibly naive woman asked for it. Asked for it despite the physical trauma clearly evident on her body, trauma that no one, man or woman, naive and awestruck or not, would allow “consensually”.
Besides my concern that this woman gets justice, I’m worried that Johnny Cochran’s “jury nullification” ploy will once again be employed, the too often successful tactic whereby Bryant will walk, freed by a jury of his peers choosing not to see the trial in front of them but instead focusing on the trials they themselves may have lived. It is quite understandable that such a jury would not want to be a party to taking away the freedom of yet another black man, but, nonetheless, that would be nothing more than sanctioned racism. Johnny Cochran played O.J.’s race card to perfection. I hope the Colorado jury can see beyond such glib “if it don’t fit ..” game playing nonsense to give this woman her due.

being called female is hardly name calling or is mailing a card on mother's day name calling as well...but personally I don't care, since it's my bias that females make the better writers in many areas
