photocopy.jpgShe lives in the sprawling Phoenix metroplex, but she hails originally from the
hinterlands of Minnesota (or so we’re guessing). Here she is with her first Commenter Of the Week post ever. Gentlemen and gentlemen, AZGopherGirl:

I feel a little bit dirty today. It’s not just the oozy film that permeates the air after a Packer playoff win. It’s also the shame I feel, knowing that I obtained my first COW honor, and perhaps the first ever for a Lady RandBaller by throwing my fellow sistah Karen under the bus.  I feel a little bit like one of the Heathers in Heathers. However, I press on. Hey – the Super Bowl is less than three weeks away. Know how I know?

–> Entire weekends of quality football. The games were pretty entertaining. I was so hoping to see Barber vs. Maroney in the Super Bowl, so that something good could come out of the wasted opportunity that was 2004. It was great to see MBIII finally get the start. I’ve loved hearing Troy Aikman gush all over him, but I’m a fan and can’t be objective about him. How good is Barber, really?

–> Host-city hype. Living in Phoenix, I haven’t been able to pick up the paper or turn on the TV without hearing something Super Bowl-related. Much of it revolves around the dope parties (do the kids still say dope?). I’m hoping having COW on my resume gets RandBall to pay for my party attendance. You know, for hard-hitting interviews and photos and stuff. Any votes on which party I should attend? Lobby your RandBall representative now.

–> Income opportunities.  Got a flier the other day that said I could rent my house out for up to $10,000 a day during the Super Bowl, giving ticketholders an alternative to hotel rooms. I know what goes on in hotel rooms. Pass.

–> Commercials are getting better. Yesterday’s football watching had my 4-year-old asking, “Can I just photocopy my butt?”

As you read this, I’m jetting back to the homeland that is MPLS. Be kind.
