The Internets: Jason Kidd to Dallas?

ESPN is reporting that a deal to send Jason Kidd from New Jersey to Dallas is “imminent.” It sounded like a lot until the Stackhouse stuff was fleshed out. From the story:
Although sources say the teams are still sorting out final details, this deal was described as “imminent” by multiple sources close to the process after negotiations moved to an advanced stage Tuesday night. The deal — salvaged from talks on a three-way trade with Portland that developed and fizzled quickly two weeks ago — has Dallas sending 24-year-old point guard Devin Harris, veteran swingman Jerry Stackhouse, the expiring contracts of center DeSagana Diop and swingman Devean George and guard Maurice Ager to New Jersey for Kidd and forward Malik Allen. Sources say Dallas will also send the Nets the league-maximum $3 million, the Mavs’ first-round draft pick this June and a first-rounder in 2010. The Nets are expected to buy out Stackhouse’s contract immediately, which could enable him to re-sign with Dallas if he waits 30 days.
*ESPN orders the Berman videos taken down. Fear not, Berman video lovers: Deadspin has them all saved.
*Steroids have reached our prison softball fields. The headline’s a grabber, too.
*This is fairly awesome.
*And, because we can’t ignore it: Roger Clemens’ reputation has been ruined forever. There, we said it. Bill Plaschke says it better.

Was just checking how Kidd left Dallas in the first place. From wikipedia:
Kidd was traded to the Phoenix Suns along with Tony Dumas and Loren Meyer for Michael Finley, A.C. Green, and Sam Cassell during the 1996-97 season.
I’m still wrapping my head around Clemens saying “Oh yeah, the old lady was juicing, but not me. Chicks, huh?” in front of Congress. I cannot grasp that this actually happened.
What was your favorite House Party movie? The first one was pretty solid, but the second one was great too when they had the Jammy Jam party in college. Sadly, I never saw House Party 3 which has the tagline: “The best house party yet.” So you know its good.
House Party 3:
Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, a member of the female singing group “Sex as a Weapon”, sets fire to Kid’s house because he “fell in love”…
My favorite line comes from the “This is fairly awesome” head fake link where Coach Wooden was quoted as saying “it isn’t what you do, but how you do it”..He was sorta weird in a championship way so he probably did say that, but I’ve always hate that crap line nonetheless, since it leads to endless perty pretense as in sports like gymnastics or (gag me) figure skating where people actually care and SCORE how you take off and land as opposed to true blooded sports like football or hockey where the only thing that counts is “what you do” i.e. score not “how you do it” (gag me again)
the only thing that counts is “what you do” i.e. score not “how you do it” (gag me again)
That’s what she said
Two things about the Clemen’s clemency hearing that still were hardly proof in any court of law as opposed to a For Show Capitol Hill hearing …a) When asked why McNamee would not lie about the others, but lie about him? So what he should have said ? People lie all the time and if McNamee chose to lie about Clemens but not the others could that be “proven” either way ? Maybe, McNamee had it in more for Clemens for some reason. After all, Clemens seems more the ass than the meek and mild Pettitte. Who knows about that stuff anyway, but that decidedly non legal argument sounded like the Suits strutting their stuff and …b) as for the surprise testimony from Clemens’ former nanny that nailed her old boss why was that so kept on the down low if it was so damning unless it was that ugly Nanny on the tv show and she brought in her out tapes ?
Don’t get me wrong. Clemens sounds as honest and nice a guy as Moss, a meter maid maid and a doobie all mixed in one, but these Phat Cats came to hang Clemens ..and did…and that lack of real judicial process bothers me..
You could argue that House Party is Martin Lawerence’s best performance as an actor.
Speaking of the House Party movies, I can’t wait until movie quote Friday. I boning up on my skills.
P3, the court of public opinion has no due process…
Good for Devean George. Who wants to go to New Jersey?
“boning up on my skills.”
That’s what she said… Let Leno know I’m available.
It should have say “honing”
