We understand that athletes have rights, and we don’t think that an athlete’s background should predicate their decisions. That said: Devean George (photographed nine years ago by the ST’s Marlin Levison, playing for DIII Augsburg) seems to be a little high and mighty by blocking the Jason Kidd deal. Most guys who play in the MIAC don’t make millions in the NBA. Not saying he should shut up and go, we’re just sayin’.

*The Censored Count. Thanks, Dave MN. This is very funny.

*Slate asks the tough question: Why would someone inject B12 into his buttocks?

*We’re not sure why folks feel the need to make “hottest female athletes in sport X” lists, but this one caught our attention: Women’s college hockey top 5. No. 1 on the list: UMD’s Libby Guzzo. No. 3 on the list: The Gophers’ Gigi Marvin.

*Bill Simmons becomes the second person to go on record defending the Shaq trade from the Phoenix perspective. It was like we were sharing the same brain. Awww.
