It's great to see Thomas Tapeh come home not only because he could add something to the Viking's depth at rb (actually where they need it least) but because, by all accounts, he is that rarity in the NFL, a real nice kid.

Problem is with the severe hip injury he suffered years ago with the Eagles, it was reported back then in both Twin Cities rags that that injury had the potential to be career ending. I am not an osteo but a dislocated hip does seem vulnerable to further dislocation, so this move, however popular, may prove unwise...

Very cool article... Glad he can come back home. I just hope he stays healthy for the sake of the team.

It really is sad that his Gopher career was so hampered by injuries. I remember reading this article and watching Prep Sports Extra on TV and just being amazed at how good Tapeh was. He would have been a superstar without those injuries. Fortunately, he seems to have a head on his shoulders that is going to help him be successful with or without football.

This is the anti-Chris Simon signing. I hope he does really well as a Viking. The fans will love him, even if he isn't in a high-profile role.
