dogs.jpgWe’re not positive, but we’re fairly sure that between work and making sure we get our grandmother around to various appointments today, we’re going to have a hard time gettin’ much RandBallin’ done. So we thought we would disguise a half-[redacted] day by posing what is potentially a fairly interesting question (and might get even more lively after a couple of beverages): If you had to pick an all-time roster for various local squads, who would you pick? The ground rules are simple: One player for each position on the field/court/ice, plus a manager/coach. We’ll go through seven teams: Wild, Wolves, Vikings (offense and defense), Twins (pick eight position players, a starting rotation and a closer), then Gophers men’s hockey, men’s basketball and football. You can throw the Stars into the pro hockey mix if you feel the need; let’s keep it strictly Wolves (and not Lakers) for hoops, though. We’ll do this in three posts. First up: Wild/Stars and Wolves. Perhaps when we come up for air in April, we’ll even compile our own lists. For now … begin!
