We’re over at the Class 4A girls’ basketball semifinals, and it’s about 2 minutes to tipoff between Minneapolis South and Chaska. Jon Marthaler has you covered over at the Preps Insider Blog; and we have you covered, courtesy of Rocket, with a little Heavy Metal Hockey. 1987 North Dakota-style. We have to admit: That hockey team is one of our favorite squads of all-time. That probably won’t win us many friends in these parts, but we were 11 at the time. Sue us. Truth be told, the song is a little low on heavy metal. But is there hockey? Oh, yes, there is hockey.

South is gud
Watching a bad music video featuring UND hockey, especially the Hrkac Circus, doesn’t do much for this Gopher fan.
But I guess that’s why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream. UND fans enjoy things like 20 year old hockey videos, 25 year old Canadian defensemen, and animal porn. Gopher fans do not.
That’s right, I said it. Bring on the Final 5 (if we make it).
Clarence - good thing you keep up on the Sioux and their defenseman
Chorney - MN
Bina - ND
Finley - MN
Genoway - Canada
Jones - Illinois
Lapoint - Wisc
Marto - ND
I think Bina is the only 25yo in the group.
I’ll admit it. I don’t know why, but no matter how good the ball handling/passing etc cte, and it just may be sexist (it is
), but I just can’t get into girl’s basketball. I better leave it there, ay
