Thursday (Outrageous!) Edition: Wha’ Happened?

What started as a cheap ploy to get the word “outrageous” into the title and perhaps draw readers in who were tantalized by the potential of what is really just a cleanup post filled with odds and ends from the past couple of days turned into a little bit of a find when we stumbled onto the web site of one Mr. Outrageous. He wrestles; he acts; he performs stunts; he’s on a horse; he’s in Mexico filming a Corona commercial. Out-rageous! In any event, on to some links we’ve been meaning to get to for a little while now:
*Free Darko takes a good, hard look at the poetry of Rashad McCants. Expect another bit of verse soon: The sixth-man blues. (Thanks to Ramon for the find).
*Did the Houston Rockets really just become the first team in more than 35 years to win 20 NBA games in a row in a season? Can you imagine if they wind up as a 6 or 7 seed? (Not too far-fetched). Man, the west is tough.
*Someone named Zago, who signed him(her?)self “Your sadly in Bloomington” (sic) sent in an all-time rant about Nick Punto. Suffice to say, like many other Twins fans, Zago has noticed Punto’s awful spring and would like someone else in the lineup.
*LeBron James and Caron Butler are trying to one-up each other with D.C. parties. Kim Kardashian will apparently be hosting one of the parties, and it ain’t LeBron’s.
*Safe texts in London (also via Fasolamatt).
*Quickly: Washington and Anaheim did the Wild favors last night by knocking off Calgary and Vancouver, both in regulation.
*Fasola-link! Apropos of nothing.
