Tuesday (baseball in Japan) edition: Wha’ Happened?
Posted on March 25th, 2008 – 7:54 AMBy Michael Rand
As we type this, the A’s lead the Red Sox 4-3 in a regulation baseball game being played in the Tokyo Dome on March 25. If that isn’t a shock to the system, we don’t know what is. We imagine that sometime in the future, baseball and football will be played 11.5 months of the year on six continents (maybe seven), with just a break for free agency, a draft and other odds and ends. We’re all for the globalization, but the day baseball starts in the winter is the day we’re officially freaked out.
Wild? Lost.
Calgary? Lost.
Vancouver? Did not play.
Colorado? Defeated Calgary.
Race? One up on Calgary, three up on Vancouver and Colorado, but: the Wild has played one more game than Calgary and two more than Vancouver. Gettin’ ugly down the stretch.
A question for the morning: Best breakfast place in the Twin Cities? We’re hitting our favorite right now. Our Kitchen.
Fasola-link! Geckos.
