Even Gomez’ postgame interview was full of unpredictability. I didn’t know if he was going to drop some f-bombs Ozzie style, require an interpreter, or drop kick the interviewer. I’m excited for the season. We’re on pace to win 162 games.

I hope Gomez bought 100 pairs of gloves before the season, one for every base he’s going to steal.

I think the NFL wants to start early on the Brett Favre enshrinement ceremony. Also, the NFL probably didn’t want John Madden to have a hemmorhage by doing a Packers game with his boy toy retired.

Carlos Gomez always has his mouth open. Normally that is the first way I dismiss a person, but in this case, it just adds to that crazy unpredictability in a good way.

He was a beast last night. And I got the sense that he had no idea where he was.

The PiPress is calling it Sept 8th 6pm Mon nite football at Lambeau. I went to the Pack site and they said the same adding only that “officially” they want Tavaris to start..HardeHar.

But why go for this game for starters I don’t know, unless the NFL are all ghouls and wondering how Rodgers will look. Personally, I don’t think the country as a whole will care..

Stu - my guess is Chicago’s a bigger TV market, and later in the year they’re going to stink, so NBC went for the rating.

RE: Pack/Vikings. Shouldn’t that be the Sunday Night game, while ESPN gets Colts/Bears? No offense to Jama, but the former’s more of a marquee match-up than the latter, isn’t it?
