Who wants to live in a world where low-fat meats and the music of Dokken can’t come from one device?

grill.jpgAbout 15 or 20 years ago, we fondly remember people in the neighborhood piling up charcoal, getting a good batch of coals going, then sticking a couple speakers out the bedroom or living room window (likely, the music was either Guns ‘n’ Roses or Kris Kross. That’s just how our neighborhood rolled) so everyone could enjoy some fine grilled food AND some music. These days: life is so much simpler, which is part of the reason we’re all getting softer. Behold (courtesy of Stu, who notes the tenuous connection to sports) the MP3-ready George Foreman Grill. Yes, it’s a meat-seeking device with a docking station for an MP3 player. Idolator had a fun take in its “gift guide,” and we’d like to go a step further in pairing, as they said, “fat beats and lean meats.”

*Burgers should be enjoyed with a nice garden salad, some tortilla chips and Insane Clown Posse.

*Fish and chips and Phish.

*Chicken skewers, homemade guacamole, a nice Riesling and Cold Play.

*(From Stu): I don’t know that this will get as many hits as your Loserville USA post, but I know that Roughkat will like being able to play Creed while making ultra lean turkey bacon.

Touche. Any more?
