There goes Boof’s diet: all you can eat at Twins games
Posted on April 22nd, 2008 – 3:22 PMBy Michael Rand
Gluttons, mark your calendars. Joining a growing trend — and we mean that in a couple of ways — the Twins will have an “all you can eat” feature for games against the Rangers on May 19 and 20. Here are the details of what $33 does and doesn’t get you, straight from the source itself:
*Seats — Upper Club: Sections 232 & 233.
*1,000 tickets available for each game.
*Concession Stand Location: The Metrodome “Field Fare” Concession Stand located outside of Section 232.
*Food and drinks available: Items include hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, pretzels, fountain soda, water.
*Beer will NOT be included in the “All You Can Eat” package but will be sold next to the All You Can Eat concession stand along with ice cream and candy.
*No more than two of each item may be picked up at each visit to the concession stand.
So, what do you think? Good, bad, ugly, indifferent? We’re curious.

The real question is:
Can you eat $33 worth of Dome food at one game and live to tell the tale?
I smell the next Redactular!!! …Wait, no, that’s not what I smell.
(Apologies if I slaughtered the name of the Rand Ball meet ups. I’m far too lazy to go back and look it up.)
If the attendees eat as much as Dave MN posts, the team will be bankrupt by the all-star break. Ba-zing!
(groans abound).
Grade F meat comes cheap, they’re currently making $5.75 profit per Dome Dog…
Oh yeah, and I’m commenting like crazy, because I’m having trouble focusing this afternoon.
Gotta…close…browser…window…
Pretty sure if everyone who buys one of the 1,000 tickets eats one of each item offered, the Twins will need to ask the county for more money to complete the stadium.
Dave, there’s a reason the Dome is kitty corner to HCMC.
I’ll borrow my own observation from when Tinabacage posted his own Bonser joke: our transformation into a passive-aggressive Wisconsin with no liquor on Sundays continues apace.
Isn’t this the pre-marathon diet?
I can already hear an order:
2 hot dogs
nachos
a bag of peanuts
2 pretzels
a tub of popcorn
and 2 diet cokes
Pity the fools sitting in the sections just below.
