I guess Gardy wasn't a fan the "Showtime" Lakers.

I've never heard anyone dislike showtime as much as him in that clip.

Dave MN - I would like Mauer a lot more if he would go nuts from time to time.

A few years ago, Gardy had one of the most underappreciated rants in Minnesota sports history. Given how amazing it was, I couldn't believe how little press it got. Any rant that starts with "Hunter Wendlestedt is a big [redacted] [redacted]. He can kiss my [redacted]" is a surefire classic, and this one clearly was.

Childress. He's GOT to snap one of these days. He always plays it so cool, keeping everything in. By game 4 of the 08 season when Jackson's ability is called into question yet again, he'll just loose it.

I'm so very, very angry that our internet died and robbed me of participating in that last post.

I'm going to take the big leap and say that Joe Mauer will give us the next memorable tirade. After seasons of holding it all in, being boring as hell, and so on, Mauer can no longer hold it in.

He explodes at everyone in the clubhouse from Gardy and his constant refrain of "battling their tails off", to Morneau and his damn Canucks t-shirt, to Gomez's inability to get down a bunt or close his mouth...culminating in his screaming at Cuddyer to "cut out the [redacted] magic tricks! We get it, you're a lovable [redacted] loser who is interested in something that [redacted] 10-year-olds get bored with! I know which card you're holding...the [redacted][redacted]. Kiss my [redacted]. Oh, and Jesse Crain, you [redacted] suck you Kyle Lohse headcase! [redacted]!" [Shaves off sideburns and storms out]

I second the Gardenhire nomination. He has a temper and a young ballclub. The perfect storm will be a 5-game losing streak, Liriano shaking off a sign, throwing a meatball, having it misplayed by Gomez, picked up by Young, and overthrown into the press box where it hits Dick Bremer in the pomade. And after the game, Gardy will get soooooooo mad at Cuddyer for missing a steal sign. It'll be memorable.
