The Internets: Raising questions about Karl Malone

ESPN.com’s Jemele Hill has an interesting column on a topic we’re surprised has garnered so little attention recently: Karl Malone the father. Much of it is about his abandonment of Demetrius Bell, recently a 7th-round pick by the Buffalo Bills; she also gets (later on) into the even more troubling part that has been touched on in a few other outlets:
Roger Clemens’ alleged seedy indiscretions — including a possible sexual relationship with a 15-year-old — are nothing compared to what Malone has done. Malone reportedly impregnated Bell’s mother when she was 13 and he was a sophomore at Louisiana Tech.
*The NY Post finds Sebastian Telfair presumably keeping his ankle elevated with Joakim Noah at a certain type of club in New York. (Via The Big Lead).
*Two people have sent us this. You know what that means. We’ll repeat that Sassbottom did this exact thing about 10 years ago. He was way cooler.
*The Chicago Sun-Times version of the White Sox blow up doll story includes the phrase “slump-buster.” That makes us read more. It was not, however, the first time that sports and blow up dolls have crossed paths. Nor will it likely be the last.
