Speaking of Puckett's game six homer, why is it that Kirk Gibson's homer gets so much more play. It wasn't nearly as important to that series...and Kirk Gibson sucks.

ramon

Didn't catch that conversation I guess. Phillips is in his late 40's so I hope it was a bit. He looks like he's about 60 with all that gray though. I agree that Phillips can be a bit much but I think Orel is great when discussing the pitching. Plus I saw Orel on the National Heads Up Poker Championship on NBC. He's an interesting guy.

jama - was that whole bit where Phillips said he was just a little kid when Puckett hit THE GAME SIX HOMER, and then Orel and the other guy thought he was serious and tore him a new one?

Because I swear Phillips was serious. And/or stoned.

1. C-Dog likes vanilla.
2. C-Dog likes the Minnesota Twins (C: “You’re from Cleveland, so you like Cleveland; I’m from Minnesota, so I like Minnesota. Who does Granddaddy root for?” F: “Well, Granddaddy is from Atlanta” C: “So he roots for Atlanta” F:”Yup”).
3. C-Dog’s mom is a toxicologist. We treat her with lots of respect. Or else.

Did C-Dog give this entire interview in the third person? If so, C-Dog is ready to be a professional athlete.

So does that mean she can kill you without anything showing up in the blood tests?

Yeah, I'd treat her well too. Or go the Joker route and kick her to the curb before she offs you.
