hueylewis.jpgWe’re a little disappointed we had to randomly discover this, rather than have it sent to us by AZgophergirl. But it pleases us greatly to report that following in the tradition of dinosaur acts at the Super Bowl, Huey Lewis (and the News) will be headlining the ArenaBowl Extravaganza, a free concert July 26, the night before Arena Bowl XXII in New Orleans. Correction: not only will he be headlining, according to the Arena League web site, he will “rock” said event. But that’s not all — please do enjoy this description of Huey Lewis and the News from the site:

Huey Lewis and The News have been defying the rock oddsmakers for over two decades. Formed from two rival Bay Area bands in 1979, their contagious brand of straight-ahead rock n’ roll has outlasted countless trends, selling over 20 million albums worldwide in the process.

That picture of Huey Lewis, by the way, is from Dolphintrainer.com, which is a treasure trove in and of itself. You might enjoy the picture of Mark McGwire. We know that we did. That sea lion might be the only living creature to know the truth about 1998.
