last night was my first MMA viewing experience and it left me feeling a) slightly less clean and b) confident that we are, to borrow a bit from Bump, done as a society.

Shock of the night: MMA, like boxing, is dirty and possibly fixed. Jeez, who saw that coming?

CELTICS
Irish? Celtics
Irish one day a year? Celtics
Jayhawk alum? Celtics
Fan of Garnett, Pink* version? Celtics
Fan of Garnett, Blue version? Celtics
Fan of Garnett, Green version? Celtics
Fan of McHale, 1980s version? Celtics
Fan of the Celts in the '80s? Celtics
Fan of the Lakers in the '80s? Celtics
C student? Celtics
Fan of Mayor Quimby? Celtics
*Not necessarily the color he wore in high school.

LAKERS
Vapid and vacuous? Lakers

I kid. Any other team, I'd be rooting for the Lakers, but given I'm Irish, a Jayhawk alum (Paulie!), love Garnett, loved the 1980s version of McHale and thus the Cs, and love the Simpsons, I'm rooting for the Celtics.

BTW, when the Lakers were in Minneapolis, were the team colors similar to UCLA's? And if so, when they moved to L.A. did they change to their current scheme because of UCLA and/or some nod(/ownership tie) to the Vikings?

If somebody would explain to me how to feel about this whole thing, I’d appreciate it.
Bored and indifferent to the Finalists and antagonistic to local administration. But then, I've never been passionate about basketball per se.
