The Bus knows a thing or two about bathrooms

trough.jpegJerome Bettis is probably an NFL Hall of Famer, right? Well, if any voters were on the fence, perhaps the fact that his Grille 36 has super nice bathrooms will be the tie-breaker. No lie: we love a good public restroom. Of local establishments, we dig the ones at Azia, the Independent, the Kitty Kat Club and Stasiu’s, to name a few (note: picture of trough from undisclosed Twin Cities location does not make the list). But we’d make it a No. 1 priority (get it!) to check out Grille 36 in underrated Pittsburgh. From WTAE-TV, via SportsbyBrooks, we learn that the restrooms there are a finalist for best in America:

The Jerome Bettis’ Grille 36 on Pittsburgh’s North Shore has been chosen as one of 10 finalists for America’s best public restroom.

The grille’s restrooms feature custom marble tile, plus a one-way mirror above the urinals in the men’s room, which lets patrons see out into the bar.

“The lighting is dim, so I guess it’s a comfortable atmosphere for your restroom needs,” said manager Candy Mann.

“You can see most of the TVs on the back wall, and all of your friends and relatives,” said entertainment engineer Jake Karan. “You can check on your girlfriend, too.”

Candy Mann? Really? Also, rumors that the MSP airport bathrooms received one write-in vote are unfounded at this time.
