The Friscalating Dusklight: Packers fans hate us

Rocket passes along this fantastic link to a Packers message board, where Green Bay fans not only rip on the post we did last week on Packers merchandise being sold at the MSP airport, but also attack Rocket’s book. It’s a 2-for-1 not often seen.

Countdown to the Wolves’ pick begins … now. We’ll see some of you tonight. The rest of you: think good thoughts.

They will screw up tonight. It’s not even intriguing or surprising anymore.

wow…Packer fans attempting humor is in itself humorous.

This is probably one of the oddest drafts I have ever seen. I’m sure McHale sure has a couple of tricks up his sleeve to remind us why we hate him.

Well those 2 second round picks sure were worthless. I knew McHale would bring his head out of the sand at some point tonight. Unbelievable!

I made it back to STC without major incident. Except that the combo Taco Bell/Long John Silver’s in Maple Grove becomes just a Taco Bell after 10:00, which SUCKS. No Hush Puppies, no peace.

And what was your favorite OJ Mayo moment? So much for that, then.

And before I go to bed, thanks for the beers and the truly awful cup of coffee, Michael. Good to see the rest of you miscreants, too.

I heart Mike Miller down low!!

Thankfully, we have seen the last draft McHale will control.

I will be 70 before we go to the playoffs again. Thankfully, the rest of you will be in you late 40s. Rock on Vikes!

What a strange draft. With three of the first 34 picks, the Wolves end up with four new players - none of whom they actually selected. Everybody they actually picked will be playing elsewhere next year.

This may be Kevin McHale’s crowning draft achievement.

Let the OJ Mayo era, wait, what’s that? McHale pulled out his ouiji board and decided he couldn’t help himself?

The quotes from Taylor about Mayo are priceless now.

Good to see you, too, Stu. Nice to meet Brandon and Mr. Lebanon for the first time, as well.

Well, I can officially follow the Wolves again (albeit still from a safe distance), now that the OJ Mayo era is over. I still think that he is the kind of guy that will drive more people away from watching the NBA than to the NBA.

Is the picture at the top of this story not the summation of the entire McHale era?

McHale looking half crazy/half scared, while the player looks on in mild interest thinking “This guy is bats–t crazy–I hope he leaves me alone soon.”

And McHale was probably just telling stories about how great it was to be a Celtic.

Also impressive waffling by Sid already:

I swear I saw a headline from him last night that said “Mayo was the guy they wanted all along.”

Now? Gone. No mention of it anywhere.

OJ Mayo, pro basketball hall of fame, 2029.

Toonces51: Oh, it’s not gone. I got a dead tree edition this morning with the whole story…

They print the internet on dead trees now? Woah…
